Just a quick update; the judges have been hard at work putting together all the information, and we have begun to consolidate the data. We should have some announcements soon, so stay tuned!

Nominations are Now Closed!

It's been a wonderful last six months since we announced the return of the Blogisattvas. The nominations are now closed for the 2010 Blogisattva awards, many thanks for all those who nominated their favorite Buddhist bloggers. There have been tons of great nominees in all the categories, and I certainly don't envy the work our wonderful judges will be doing in the next week or so. So much excellence to choose from.

I will be putting together a worksheet for the judges to go through and make their nominations for the finalists and winners. This task may take up to a week or longer, so we thank everyone for their patience. Most likely, when the judges have completed their work, we will unveil the 5 finalist for each award category in one post, then reveal the winner of each category in another.

I also wanted to post the badges that the Finalists and Winners can use for their blogs. A million and one thanks to Anoki Casey for yet again donating his time, his talent and the great graphic artwork to the Blogisattva Awards. He is most definitly a talented guy!

Finally, while you wait for the results, go check out the Online Meditation Crew, a group of folks, of all Buddhist traditions, who get come together online for discussion, meditiation and support. Interview Re: The Blogisattvas

First and foremost, in less than a week nominations close for the Blogisattva Awards. Make sure to nominate your favorite blogger.

Recently, I was asked by Emily Breder of the Peace Ground Zero blog and a columnist for the Examiner, to answer some questions regarding the Blogisattvas. One week left!!

We are down to the wire here for the 2010 Blogisattva Awards.

Don't wait until the last minute to give props to your favorite blogger for inspiring you with their wit, wisdom, compassion, etc.

I just want to take this moment to thank all those that have been involved in the rebirth of the Blogisattva's. It's been enjoyable to say the least. I look forward to awarding this years and getting to work on next years. So, thank you everyone, you've been great.

If all goes as planned, the next post will be our announcement of the winners. Thanks everyone for your support and talk to you soon!

Awards Update

Just a reminder that there is only one month left to get those Blogisattva nominations in! November 1st will be the last day to submit your nominations for those outstanding Buddhist blogs that you read and love. The process for sorting through and posting the finalists and award winners will probably take a few weeks after nominations close.

Also, we have hit the 400 milestone mark for Buddhist related blogs and websites in the directory, and everyday a few more get added. The Buddhist Blogosphere is far larger and more dynamic than I ever imagined! We will be keeping the ability to add to the blog directory database probably through November 1 as well. I am working on sharing the code so sometime in the near future that anyone can publish the blog directory that resides here.
 
Finally, for next years awards, we will be looking for new volunteer administrators to run the awards. I'm not sure if Nate, Anoki or myself will stay on, but there is definitely a good chance for an opening to volunteer! If you are interested in carrying forward the Blogisattva torch in 2011, just drop us a line here.
